Our Story
Olive Children was created by educators and parents who wanted something more thoughtful for their own children
a place where learning feels meaningful, not forced,
and where children are seen as thinkers, builders, and contributors, even at a very young age.
We were inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, but shaped our program for real families, real classrooms, and real children growing up today.
Our goal was never to be trendy or rigid. It was to build a learning community that truly respects childhood.

A Thoughtful Balance
At Olive Children, our educational philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach while maintaining a thoughtful balance between freedom and structure.
We believe children learn best when curiosity and exploration are supported by intentional guidance. Open-ended discovery is paired with consistent routines, child-led projects are nurtured with thoughtful teacher support, and play-based learning is connected to strong foundations for future academic growth.
Our teachers observe carefully, listen deeply, and thoughtfully connect children’s daily experiences to developmental milestones—ensuring that learning remains joyful, meaningful, and purposeful.
Our Learning Community
Olive Children is more than a school—it is a learning community built on trust, partnership, and shared purpose.
Teachers learn alongside children, families are valued partners in the learning journey, and every child is seen, heard, and respected. Through open communication, reflection, and collaboration, we create a consistent and supportive environment where children feel secure and confident to grow.
Our Learning Environment
We believe the environment is a child’s third teacher.
Our classrooms and shared spaces are thoughtfully designed to feel calm, welcoming, and inspiring. Natural light, open-ended materials, and carefully organized learning areas invite children to explore, create, and take ownership of their learning.
Each space is intentionally prepared to support curiosity, independence, and a sense of belonging—while helping children feel safe, supported, and at home.
Our Promise
At Olive Children, we promise to:
• Respect each child’s unique pace, voice, and individuality
• Create environments that inspire curiosity and discovery
• Nurture confidence, independence, and resilience
• Protect the joy and wonder of childhood
So that every child grows with a strong sense of belonging—and a belief in their own potential.
