Our Warm Spring Campus is located across the street from Warm Springs Elementary in the South Bay Community Church. A majority of our students attend Leitch Elementary, Warm Springs Elementary, Weibel Elementary, and Horner Junior High, but we accept students from all schools!

Afterschool Programs

Homework Help

Homework is our #1 Priority (after safety, of course!). Our qualified teachers and TAs check each student’s homework based on Neatness, Completeness, and Correctness. We provide quality homework help with consistent guidance and supervision. Afterwards, students will engage in open-ended projects to advance their cognitive development in engineering, design, scientific inquiry, writing, and creative communication. Have a project coming up? All of our students have the space and all materials required to complete their school projects.

Common Core English & Math

Each day, students have the opportunity to practice English and Math aligned with Common Core Standards. We provide every student with their own laptop to practice a computer-based math program that not only guides them through Common Core Math, but allows them to practice math on their computer in preparation for the Computerized Common Core State Testing. Students use Lexia Core 5 for Common Core English, an individualized reading & phonics program used by most schools in Fremont Unified School District.

Math Infinity MI & KMI

Olive Children Afterschool program allows students to deeply engage in learning, in a fun and challenging way which provide K- 8th grade students opportunities for growth in a variety of subjects and interests.

  • KMI Pre-K to Kindergarten

  • Math Infinity K-6

Hindi & Mandarin

We offer conversational language programs. Students can choose either Hindi or Mandarin. Students are immersed in foreign language and learn in a small class setting. With fun and approachable technique, we make learning conversational Mandarin & Hindi exciting in a non-native environment. We offer both a beginner and advanced level classes.

Confidence Voice

Each Wednesday, students can participate in our Confident Voice Program. Our instructors are passionate about giving kids the space to access their own unique voice so that they will zestfully seize opportunities to lead in all areas of their lives. Brittany also coaches Olive’s award-winning Speech team. Similar to a public speaking class, this class provides an energetic, warm, and theatrical environment to bring student’s speaking skills to life—a skill that will translate to their school experience and communication abilities in life.

Common Core Writing

Our most popular class (voted by both parents and students) is Writer’s Workshop on Mondays. To develop attitudes and strategies for lifelong expression, students propose projects that fulfill criteria for emergent curriculum. The instructor and the student will work together to advance the writer’s critical thinking and personal expression.

Student Store

Rich writing requires several elements in dynamic tension: perspective, organization, audience, presentation, and clarity. But above all, writing requires that children desire to write! Thus, the workshop captures young ones’ motivations and kindles a love for writing.

Friday Activities

Olive Children has a unique partnership with local science museums that promote children’s academic, ethical, and social development through science.  The curricula are developed with support by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Science Teacher Association (NSTA)

Computer Science & Coding

Coding Club is an excellent way to learn about programming with your friends. Students learn and practice the basics of coding, using the Python and HTML language.
